The Super Action Controller is an official peripheral for the ColecoVIsion. It features a pistol-like grip with four differently-coloured buttons on the handle, and a flat top with a red, large balltop joystick, a number pad that takes overlays, and a dial that's somewhat like a large, smooth-scrolling mousewheel. The buttons and stick are pretty mushy, but that's pretty typical of the time. There're also extra bits of plastic that attach to the back of the handles to help them fit bigger hands. They were sold as a pair, with the game Super Action Baseball included.
Compatibility
It works with games that use regular ColecoVision controllers, but there are some games specifically designed to work with the form and extra features such at the four buttons.
