Terminology
NB: Terminology is pretty loose when it comes to console companies. Often words are used incorrectly, and connectors and ports will not have unique names. So a lot of these are unofficial names. Generally:
- Plugs and terminals go into ports and jacks and sockets
- Connector is the bit at the end of a plug.
Notes on names used for different plugs and ports (etc.) and why
